1. God is generous because He loves you.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16 ESV)God gives because we are the objects of His love and compassion.
Read Matthew 20:1-15 The parable of the workers.
Am I not allowed to do what I choose with what belongs to me? Or do you begrudge my generosity?' (Matthew 20:15 ESV)
2. Reflect on God's generosity:
Read Psalm 23
I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. (John 10:10, 14, 15, 27, 28 ESV)Q: Are we living in the abundance of God's generosity or are we living in scarcity?
God has blessed us to be a blessing.
